ABOUT ME

Ever since I learned to talk, I've been telling stories. From creative writing courses to school plays, there was nothing I loved more than captivating an audience. Translating this passion into digital marketing has made work feel like anything but – and I've sought every opportunity to do so for brands.

A little more context

From a very young age, it was clear to my family that I was competitive and independent. When my first full sentence was "I do it myself," my parents knew they had their hands full.

I was always the kid who was involved in too much  sports, theatre, choir, photography, girl scouts, book clubs, and even my very short career in cheerleading (I kept turning around to watch the game and got in trouble). But I never was content with sitting still; I wanted to be involved in as much as possible and learn anything I could.

When it was clear my feet were more talented than anything else, soccer became a true passion of mine. I played for 4 years and was a captain my senior year at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. On top of being a student-athlete, I was on the executive in my sorority, became the VP of Recruitment on Panhellenic, started a campus worship group, was a peer mentor for freshmen, and even found time to star in a Rollins Theatre production my senior year.

My major was communication studies with a public relations concentration and a professional writing minor. During one of my professional writing minor classes, I was told by a professor that I should look into being a copywriter. I had no idea copywriting was a career one could have - and I was intrigued.

After my time with the Golf Channel in Orlando, Florida, I knew that the dream job was working in marketing for a sports team or company. Applying for jobs in the sports industry during the pandemic was an adventure to say the least, but I landed a copywriting assistant role at Atlanta United FC, and the rest is history.

Outside of work, you can find me coaching group fitness classes, crushing some retired folks in pickleball, trying to keep up with 50-year-old men in my gym's pick-up basketball league, volunteering for the Special Olympics, or attending a Broadway show.
